ZIMM Global marks a major milestone in its environmental mission, with 240,000 trees now in the ground across 12 districts of Sindh and 85 partner schools — tracking toward a one million tree target.
ZIMM Global's One Million Trees Drive has crossed a significant milestone: 240,000 trees planted across 12 districts of Sindh, with 85 partner schools actively maintaining saplings through student-led tree registers.
The program focuses exclusively on native, drought-resistant species — Neem, Keekar, Shisham, and fruit trees — that are climatically adapted to Sindh's harsh conditions and provide food, shade, and economic value to rural communities.
A 78% Survival Rate
Pakistan's national average tree survival rate after plantation drives is approximately 45%. ZIMM's community-ownership model has achieved a 78% survival rate — nearly double the national average — because local communities are involved in selecting, planting, and watering every sapling.
