In a historic milestone for child welfare in Pakistan, ZIMM Global-NPO has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sindh Government Hyderabad to take over management of Darul Atfal under a Public-Private Partnership for five years.
Hyderabad, Sindh โ In a significant step toward strengthening child welfare services in Pakistan, ZIMM Global-NPO and Sindh Government Hyderabad have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to hand over the management of Darul Atfal, Hyderabad under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for a period of five years.
The MoU was signed by Zainul Abideen Memon, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, representing the Government of Sindh, and Musarrat Shah, Chairperson of ZIMM Global-NPO, in a formal signing ceremony attended by senior government officials and ZIMM leadership.
Full Management Responsibility
Under this agreement, ZIMM Global-NPO will assume full responsibility for the Management, Operation, and Maintenance (MOM) of the facility. The partnership aims to enhance the quality of care, improve operational efficiency, and ensure a nurturing environment for children residing at the institution.
This marks the first time in Sindh that a registered civil society organization has been entrusted with the full administrative and operational management of a government children's welfare home under a structured Public-Private Partnership framework.
What ZIMM Will Implement
- Structured educational programs aligned with the national curriculum
- Regular health checkups, vaccination drives, and nutritional support
- Psychosocial counseling and recreational activities
- Vocational readiness programs for older residents
- Infrastructure renovation and maintenance
- Transparent monthly reporting to the Deputy Commissioner's office
A Replicable Blueprint
Chairperson Musarrat Shah stated: "This is not just an administrative handover โ it is a covenant with the children of Hyderabad. Every child at Darul Atfal deserves dignity, education, healthcare, and a future. ZIMM Global is honored by this trust from the Government of Sindh."
