Pakistan’s 2022 super-floods were the deadliest in the nation’s history — a third of the country submerged, 33 million displaced. ZIMM Global deployed its ZERF emergency teams within 24 hours, reaching communities that government vehicles could not access. Over four months, ZIMM distributed emergency relief to 8,000+ families across 12 union councils of Sindh.
Emergency Relief
ZIMM distributed 8,000+ food packages (enough for one family for 15 days), 3,200 water purification tablets, 1,800 hygiene kits, 900 shelter kits, and emergency clothing for 4,500 children. Boat teams operated in areas with standing water over 6 feet.
Medical Response
Six mobile medical camps were established in flood-affected areas treating 12,000+ patients. A dedicated water-borne disease control drive administered antibiotics, ORS, and clean water tablets to prevent cholera and typhoid outbreaks.
