ZIMM Global’s Women Vocational Training Center in PECHS, Karachi provides free, certified vocational training to women from low-income backgrounds. The center runs courses in tailoring and fashion design, digital literacy, small business management, English communication, and financial literacy — giving graduates the tools to earn independently and lead their families.
Courses Offered
The center runs six certified tracks: (1) Tailoring & Fashion Design, (2) Digital Literacy & MS Office, (3) Small Business & Accounts, (4) English Communication, (5) Financial Literacy & Microfinance, and (6) Handicrafts & Embroidery. All courses are 3 months, free of charge, and end with a ZIMM-certified diploma.
Economic Impact
84% of graduates are earning independently within six months of completing the program. The average monthly income of a graduate is PKR 18,000 — compared to zero income before enrollment. Over 200 graduates have launched micro-businesses supported by ZIMM’s microfinance partnerships.
