The MoU Signing
The Memorandum of Understanding was formally signed by Zainul Abideen Memon, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, representing the Government of Sindh, and Musarrat Shah, Chairperson of ZIMM Global-NPO. The signing ceremony marks a watershed moment in public-private collaboration for child welfare in Sindh.
Full MOM Responsibility
Under the agreement, ZIMM Global-NPO assumes complete responsibility for the Management, Operation, and Maintenance (MOM) of the Darul Atfal facility. This includes staffing, nutrition programs, healthcare, education, psychosocial support, facility maintenance, and administrative oversight — all under a structured five-year accountability framework.
What This Means for Children
The children residing at Darul Atfal will benefit from ZIMM Global’s proven community welfare model. Planned interventions include structured educational programs, nutritional support, regular health checkups, recreational activities, vocational readiness for older residents, and a safe, nurturing residential environment that meets international child welfare standards.
Why This Partnership Matters
This Public-Private Partnership model represents a replicable blueprint for Pakistan’s welfare sector — demonstrating that registered civil society organizations can manage government welfare facilities with greater efficiency, transparency, and community-centered care. ZIMM Global’s track record across education, health, and emergency relief made it the ideal partner for this responsibility.
ZIMM Global’s Commitment
Chairperson Musarrat Shah stated: “This is not just an administrative handover — it is a covenant with the children of Hyderabad. Every child at Darul Atfal deserves dignity, education, healthcare, and a future. ZIMM Global is honored by this trust from the Government of Sindh and committed to delivering excellence.”
